Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.25 g, 6 h), uncertain mint in the East, circa 124-127. AVGVSTVS HADRIANVS Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. III COS Vesta (?), veiled, seated left on throne, holding Victory in her right hand and long scepter in her left. BMC -. RIC -. Strack -. Apparently unpublished save for its previous auction appearance and with a highly unusual reverse type. Struck from slightly worn dies and with very light marks, otherwise, very fine.
